The digital QuantuMike micrometer utilizes a courser spindle thread which feeds the spindle by 2mm per revolution of the thimble instead of the standard 0.5mm. The coolant-proof micrometer’s ratchet thimble mechanism provides a constant measuring force on the spindle to ensure accurate, repeatable measurements. A highly rigid frame and high-performance constant-force mechanism enable more stable measurements, while the clicks emitted when the work piece is being measured assure the operator that measurement is proceeding normally. Built-in ‘Hold’ function freezes the displayed value, enabling the micrometer to be removed from a workpiece for better viewing when the readout is not easily visible. Functions include origin set, zero/ABS, hold, function lock, auto power On/Off and inch/mm conversion.
