Details

The micrometer setting standard is built with the same precision as micrometer to reliably set the zero point on outside micrometer. A precision length standard for accurately setting a micrometer at the start or end of its measuring range. Can also be used for setting other types of continuous-scale measuring instruments at a certain point within the measuring range when wishing to use the narrow-range accuracy capabilities of that instrument. The standard’s measuring faces are exceptionally flat and lapped for precise, repeatable measurements over time. The handle is heat insulated to prevent expansion due to body temperature.
